Jeff was born in Brooklyn and grew up in the suburbs of NY.
He learned to play guitar from an old Phil Ochs song book with attending art school in Buffalo, NY. Jeffry holds a degree in illustration from SUNY Buffalo.
His first gig was opening for the jam band "moe."
With many years of playing and writing Jeff finally took the plunge to record a demo. Working with a local producer JC Santalis, the original goal of 5 tunes from which they would pick the best 3 -- turned into a 10-song effort... Jeff's first CD - "Slow Healer." A wide range of styles and writing that you might expect from a first CD including folk, rock, alt-country, soul. "I tried to let the songs dictate what style they should played in, rather than forcing a 'sound' on to them." This is the way Jeff's favorite artist Peter Gabriel does it.
Second realization is that you have to play gigs. Jeff got out on the road and peformed at many local venues and booked tours in Greenland, Ireland and England. The track "I'll Catch You" earned Jeff Connecticut Idol honors from local rock station I-95. Jeffry also broke through at the well-know club "The Towne Crier" opening for Waifs, October Project, Chris Trapper and others.
Writing continued and a new CD was completed in 2005. "Rust from Rain" was a little more thematic in sound than "Slow Healer" but still allowed the songs to have their say in how they would be produced. A radio campaign sent the songs over the airwaves in all parts of the country including Stephen King's station in Maine, Alaska, Texas (I was big in Texas!), and more. The track "Follow My Heart" was picked up for ABC's TV Show: Men in Trees. Thanks for Susan Dolan at Hum music.
Gigs in support of "Rust from Rain" included appearances at the Ridgefield Playhouse in CT. Jeff opened for another of his favorite artists Jonatha Brooke; played a festival along with Dar Williams; opened for guitar man Johnny A. and more.
Jeffry continues to write and record music. "I have a bunch of songs ready to go for #3." Stay tuned.
Jeffry resides in Westchester, NY with his wife Katie. They are expecting their first child this year.
